Let's just begin with the fact that I'm sorry I didn't uploaded a blogpost every end of the month - like I promised - with everything I made in my art journal that month. To be honest: there was not much to show. I didn't really paint that much in my Art Journal. I already explained it in an earlier blogpost: I was very busy and I was working on actual paintings that took a lot of time. I made this in the plane when we flew back from Berlin in March. My boyfriend had made a picture of me at the Holocaust memorial and I liked to depth in it. I never really finished this drawing.... This I made when I was kind of stressed out and didn't feel like doing anything usefull... So I drew some plants. It's very relaxing to do! So I did it again I don't have anything to say about this. I just wanted this famous quote from Banksy in my Art Journal to remind myself every now and then what I think is important in Art. I wanted to see how it would look if I used the double complementary theorie in a painting. So two paires of complementary colours. In the background I use yellow and purple and in the front I use green and red, but also blue and orange. I don't know why exactly, but I'm not very satisfied with the result. But hey, it was just a test. I wanted to make something sad. I made this left painting on a very sunny day, haha. And the right painting was a sketch for a project I was working on. I also made this on a bigger canvas. What did you make recently?
