What I've been up to

I haven't been uploading any blogarticles the past months and I also didn't paint that much in my art journal, like I planned to in my very first article this year about my new years resolutions. So what have I been up to?

I didn't find the time or the energy to write articles for my blog. I do have a lot of concept-articles and a lot of ideas, but I can't get myself to finish it. I have a lot on my mind lately that kind of distracts me from my blog and the rest of my website. 

For those of you who didn't know, I am a regional coordinator at AmuseeVous and this means I organize cultural events for young adults and help museums to become more attractive for young people. These lasts month me and my team of young volunteers watched what could be improved at the Beursschouwburg (a cultural centre in the heart of Brussels) to make it more appealing to younger people. We had a lot of meetings and I have been busy writing the report - which will be handed over to the people of the Beursschouwburg - and preparing the presentation I had to give. I finished the report and gave the presentation last week, so I finally have some more time for my own projects.

Talking about my own projects: I am working on an art project to - hopefully - exhibit in the fall. The project will consist of five to ten paintings on the theme of loneliness, powerlessness and inner struggle. About how we sometimes build walls around us, which we can't or don't want to break down anymore. This project is also one of the reasons I didn't paint that much in my art journal, cause I'm quite busy sketching the images I want to paint for this project. I also had to make a painting for my colleague, which took a while, but I finished it now so I can finally remove it from my list! 

And then I am also writing on my treatment for a TV show, which I desperately want to apply for the scenario atelier at the Flemish Audiovisual Funding (VAF). The deadline is dued on the second of october. ​
