My best friend - and biggest fan of my drawings - Lies, asked me to make an illustrated Christmas portrait of her, together with her fiancé and cat. But ofcourse! I lóve doing these kinds of things, it's very relaxing. She send me some pictures and I 'morphed' them together (sketch, sketch, sketch) to create the ultimate family picture. She said she wanted her and her fiancé to also have a christmas outfit just like the cat has on the right picture. It's a lot of fun when I can dress someone on a drawing, because when it comes to drawing, you can literally do whatever you want. I start out with a pencil sketch (not too much details, mostly just the outline) and use Derwent Inktense pencils mixed with water to give it colour. Some final details on the cat and there it is: the family christmas portrait!
