REVIEW | Fidget Cube

A Fidget Cube is a 6-Sided toy, sort of like a dice, that will keep your restless fingers busy. It's specifically designed for people who can't keep their hands still and fidget all the time.
Since I suffer from Trichotillomania, which is an hair-pulling disorder, I ordered two cubes myself - one for every hand - and received them two weeks ago. If you want to know what I think of them, you should read further.
I ordered the black fidget cube from thefidgetcube.co for $19,95 USD and then I found the one with the wooden look on Ebay for $6,27 USD so I bought this one as well. They are slightly different: the joystick on the black one is a bit higher and the silver ball and turntable are a bit more resistant.

Here you see the joystick on the top, the turntable on the right and on the left you see something similar to a light switch you can click.

If you turn it around you see five buttons. Three of them make a clicking noise and two of them are silent, so these two you can click on during class or a meeting, without disturbing the people around you.

You can move the joystick to every side you like and you can even pull it out a bit. I think I like the joystick the most, cause you can do the most with it.

Then there is a side where you have a silver ball you can roll your finger on. I think it's attached to the cube with a magnet or something, cause you can really roll it all around. On the right side of the ball you see three gears. They're very easy to turn. It would've been nice if there was a bit more resistance, though.

On the bottom of the cube there is a hole. This side is called 'Breathe'. It sounds dorky, but trust me, putting your thumb on that hole really gives you a very relaxing feeling. I don't know how this is possible, I think there is some kind of magnet or something underneath the material?

The cube fits perfectly in my hands and it's easy to use with just one hand. Because I have two fidget cubes, I can use one in each hand!

It would've been nice if there was something like a key chain attached to it, so you can easily attach it to something else, like your keys or your bag. On the other side, a key chain would've maybe make it less nice to hold in your hand.

Like I said before: the switch is way too easy to click, the gears are way to easy to turn, the ball is very easy to roll, the dial/turntable is way to easy to turn. Would have been nice if there was a little bit more resistance.

I mainly use the fidget cube when I watch a movie or something, because at these moments when I do nothing with my hands, I tend to break off my hair a lot. The cubes help a lot to keep my hands busy.

Do you use any fidget toys yourself? And did you already try the fidget cube? Let me know in the comments.
