Every now and then I organize a Minishoot day, where people can book a shoot of 30 minutes at a reduced rate. In this blog post I would like to tell you all about how and why I organize these Minishoot days and what you can expect when you've booked a minishoot. WHY DO I ORGANIZE MINISHOOT DAYS?It takes a lot of work to organize a photo shoot: customer contact, setting the date, arranging a location or setting up my studio. These are all things that need to happen before a single photo is taken. With a Minishoot day I set a date and a location where several people can book a minishoot. In this way I have several shoots in one day, at one location, which saves me a lot of time and therefore makes it profitable to do a shoot of less than an hour. WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO BOOK A MINISHOOT?A minishoot is mainly intended for new customers who do not know me (well) yet. A minishoot gives you the opportunity to get to know me a bit and to find out if my style suits you. This will only cost you 65 euros and you will receive 5 fully edited, digital photos. You are completely free to decide whether you want to purchase more photos at an additional cost. A minishoot is also recommended if you are insecure about your modeling skills or if you are a bit shy in front of the camera and you want to get a feel of the whole 'being photographed'-thing. It is also suitable if, for example, you only need just a few photos (you want a new profile picture or a picture with your partner for the invitation of your wedding) and a more expensive shoot where you receive more photos is unnecessary for you. WHAT TO EXPECT?When you book your minishoot you immediately book the timeslot of your shoot. I will send you a comfirmation via email with the invoice attached. Your timeslot will be reserved for a week and will be definitely booked when I received your payment. A week in advance, I will send you an email with the weather forecasts and the exact spot where we can meet. I also give you some clothing advice. On the day itself I may call or text you 5 to 10 minutes in advance if this is necessary. During the minishoot we try to take photos in different outfits and settings. So it is certainly possible to change outfits 3 to 4 times in a 30 minute shoot. We try to work as efficient as possible. The minishoot locations that I choose often have a wide variety of nice places to shoot, so the gallery you receive will contain enough different photos for you to choose from. Within a few days after the minishoot, you will receive an email from me with a link to an online gallery. For this online gallery I work with Pixieset. This gallery will be availlable for one week and consists of 30 to 80 pictures which are all unedited. If you need more than a week to make a selection, just send me a message. You can make a selection by clicking on the hearts in the right lower corner of the pictures. When you've made your selection, I will automatically receive an email from Pixieset that you have created a favorites-list. I will then send you an email to make sure this selection is your final selection. If you need any help selecting pictures, you can always ask me to take a look with you (I don't charge anything for this). Here are some screenshots of a gallery: If you want to receive more than the 5 pictures in the package, the costs for the extra pictures are the following: Social media size: 1 to 5 pictures = € 10,- per picture 6 to 10 pictures = € 9,- per picture 11 to 20 pictures = € 8,- per picture 21 or more pictures = € 7,- per picture **Includes a small transparent watermark in the corner of the picture** Large size for prints: 1 to 5 pictures = € 20,- per picture 6 to 10 pictures = € 18,- per picture 11 to 20 pictures = € 16,- per picture 21 or more pictures = € 14,- per picture **No watermark** You will receive your chosen pictures fully edited and in high resolution within two weeks via WeTransfer, in both color and black and white. Here are some examples of past minishoots: If you're having any more questions, you are welcome to contact me.
