UPDATE | New years resolutions

On the first of january this year I wrote a blogpost about 2016 and what my new years resolutions for 2017 are. Now that it's almost april I want to look back on these resolutions, to see if I made something of it. Are you curious as well? 

Make at least one painting a month

Well, besides painting in my art journal, I didn't really make a painting on a canvas. 
But I'm working on a new project of multiple paintings around similar themes, which I hopefully can exhibit at the end of this year. 

Write a new short film

As I mentioned in my blogpost ' '16 going on '17 ' I allready started writing a shortfilm in december 2016. Well, I'm kinda struggling with the story, so I'm focusing on other things now (mainly painting) to pick it up again later. 

Make an illustrations portfolio

No, I didn't really work on that yet. Although, maybe you can consider some of the paintings I made in my Art Journal as illustrations?

Keep an Art Journal

YES! I did this. I didn't paint something every day, but it went very well. In january and february it went quite well, but in march I didn't really feel like it. I'm getting back at it in april! 

Experiment with photography

Yeah well, I didn't make any photo's besides the ones I make for my blog, so no. But when I wrote the blogpost with the new years resolutions, I thought that I would buy a new camera later that month, but I didn't, cause there we're other costs which made me decide to wait a while before buying a new camera.

Update this blog more often

Compared to 2016, I updated this blog quite well! But no, not as much as I was planning to, so that's something that still needs to get better.
