I'm a big fan of natural elements, such as flowers, so I desperately wanted to experiment with flowers in portraits. Together with Alisa, the make-up artist I work with the most, I organized some collabs with models. I bought A LOT of artificial flowers and we did all the photosessions in studio. Interested in some of the results?

In Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen - a nature reserve on the outskirts of Ghent - I did a bohemian fashionshoot with the 6 year old model Amélie and make-up artist Alisa Acx. It was the first time for me to shoot on this beautiful location and my first time shooting with Amélie as well and I was amazed by how talented she is! Interested in the shoot and (some of the) results?
Today is the Day of Photography! So, I thought it would be nice to do the Photography Tag for once. Interested in how I started, what kind of pictures I like the most and what I would like to achieve?
For the Window Walk in Ghent I drew pictures on the windows of Lingerie Potiau and De Banier! Read more if you want to see the outcome.
Last week I had a fun and sunny shoot with the lovely teen models Ilana Deschuymer and Adelina Balaj in Citadelpark in Ghent. This was my first collaboration with them and also my first collaboration with the fantastic make-up artist Alisa Acx (www.lscxmakeup.com). We we're a great team! Read further for the backstage pictures and the results. You are hereby warned for the extreme amount of pictures you'll have to go through...
It's been a while since I posted something new on my blog, but I wanted to wish you a very happy Christmas, with all your loved ones. And if you are alone at Chrismas, I hope you are still having a nice day and bought something nice for yourself or cooked yourself your favorite meal.
I'm celebrating Christmas at our home in Ghent (yes, we moved to Ghent past november!) with Niels and all our cute pets. We're not doing anything special. We're going to visit the christmas market, maybe go ice skating and we're having a 3-course dinner at home. Enjoy your day! Let's just pretend I don't allready have too many hobbies and interests, cause I just started making jewellery! And as you can read in the title of this blogpost, this is my first collection. Yes, first. So that means there is a second collection on it's way!
You can see the whole 'Nafeye' collection here. It's already been a while since 2017 has ended, but I still wanted to make a sort of summary of my past year. It's difficult to do so, but I think I managed to put my 2017 in a blogpost! In the past year I went to Berlin, Budapest and Barcelona, had a pug and a whippet for two weeks, picked up photography, participated in Drawing Days, worked on a bunch of paintings and so on.
Because it's a lot, I did my best to keep it short, but you should be prepared to see lots of pictures! For Drawing Days, a sort of art festival, I made a painting on a few windows in Ghent. Go here for more information and to see the work of all the artists! If you want to know more about the artwork I made, read further.
Let's just begin with the fact that I'm sorry I didn't uploaded a blogpost every end of the month - like I promised - with everything I made in my art journal that month. To be honest: there was not much to show. I didn't really paint that much in my Art Journal. I already explained it in an earlier blogpost: I was very busy and I was working on actual paintings that took a lot of time.

BLOGOn my blog I write about the process of improving my skills, about grabbing every chance I get to become more experienced and about learning from ups and downs. Besides that, I write about everything that inspires me, like film, photography, paintings and psychology.
