This was already the third time I worked with model Julie De Wilde. I always enjoy working with her. She is very professional, very patient and very sweet and honest. I never worked with make-up artist Elke Herssens before, but I was amazed by her professional skills and lovely personality (which, I think, is maybe even the most important thing when working together), so this will certainly not be the last time. We had a very long and fun day together on the 25th of october. Here you can find some of the backstage pictures (especially of Elke applying the make-up) and soms of the results! We started out with the most colorful look we had in mind. Elke did a wonderful job applying these bright colors so perfectly with such smooth lines. Here are some results of the shoot: The second look Elke created was a sort of red/orange mask she applied using an airbrush. We tried different background colors and thought the yellow and blue one worked the best. Personally, I prefer the blue ones, because it makes the red stand our more, for the colors are complimentary. For the final look, I unfortunately didn't make pictures, for I was too busy making a story for my Instagram. If you go to my instagram and click on the 'MAKE UP'-stories, you can see how she makes each look of this editorial! Here's a screenshot: Now it's time to go outside to make some awesome shots! This editorial was published in MARIKA Magazine in november 2020 and in december they also published it in the MARIKA BEAUTY BOOK. You can find the tearsheets of my published work here.
Which of these looks is your favorite?

BLOGOn my blog I write about the process of improving my skills, about grabbing every chance I get to become more experienced and about learning from ups and downs. Besides that, I write about everything that inspires me, like film, photography, paintings and psychology.
